Jack and Dad find a few minutes to snuggle before Dad has to jump on a plane to Spain and then Italy for work. We REALLY missed him while he was gone!
Asleep under the Christmas Tree, dreaming of all the gifts Santa will bring him.
We visited Pleasant View, the school that I work at. Hopefully this will be the only time Jack visits the principal's office!
I show Jack off to my first grade students.
Jack tells Gerry the Giraffe all about the adventures he had at Pleasant View.

Week Two
Grandma Jane was able to take 2 weeks off of work to come help us with our recovery and getting acquainted. We don't know what we would have done without her, especially when Tom was told he had to travel to Spain and Italy for work. We can't thank Grandma Jane enough for coming to the rescue! (Grandpa Tim managed to surrvive back in Eau Claire without her, only after she gave him lessons on working the coffee pot and alarm clock before heading to Milwaukee.)
Jack goes for his first ride in the Baby Bjorn. Tom was so excited to try this out, he didn't even wait until Jack met the height and weight requirements!
Jack's first sponge bath!
Here is Jack in his p.j.'s, which we got the name for his Blog from...Watch Me As I Grow. It really is true that they grow up right before your eyes!
Grandma Jane was able to capture this photo. She has one of me blowing a spit bubble too, when I was two weeks old. I guess you can say that Jack has inherited one of my better traits!

Week One
Today was the first day of December and we were greeted with a snowstorm! We spent the day in our p.j.'s
Jack is sound asleep in the cradle Grandpa Tom and Grandma Nancy made for Tom when he was a baby. It is a good thing we had this, as Jack's own room doesn't have any walls let alone a crib yet!
This has to be one of my favorite pictures to-date! We call it the Mad Russian!
Sommer and Matt came to visit us during Jack's first week at home. Sommer can't wait until she can tell Jack about all of the naughty things we did together when we were in college. I am sure she will leave out her involvement and make it sound like I was the one who came up with everything!
You would be upset if your mother dressed you like this too! Can you believe Tom actually let me take Jack out in public like this? I need to get my dressing Jack in outfits with ears phase over with soon, as I am sure he won't allow outfits with ears in a couple more years!

First Packer Game
Mom shows off Jack while he takes a snooze, so he can be prepared for his very first Packer Game.
Dad and Jack snuggle while watching the game, the first of many I am sure! Tom made sure to explain to Jack that this year was considered a "re-building" year.
Our good friends Ryan and Jen came to the hospital to meet Jack. Ryan even snuck in a couple of beers for he and Tom to celebrate with. It was so funny watching the two of them drink their beer from plastic hospital cups, hiding it fromt the nurses!

Meet the Family
We made the grandparents and Uncle Marc wait in the hallway for 5 minutes while Tom and I soaked in our new little bundle of joy, it about killed them to wait in the hallway knowing that their new grandson/nephew was just on the other side of the door. They couldn't wait to hold him.
After everyone left Tom and I expected that they just went to grab sleeping bags, and we would find all five of them lined up in the hospital hallway the next morning sleeping/waiting to be the first to hold Jack the next day!
Grandma Jane snuggles her new grandson.
Grandma Nancy's baby fix is satisfied for a few brief moments, until passing him off to Grandpa Tom.
It was not until this moment that Grandpa Tom forgave us for taking him away from the Northwoods and his chance to get the 30 pointer! I have a feeling that Jack will be spending many birthdays in the Northwoods with dad and Grandpa Tom searching for that 30 pointer.
Grandpa Tim promises Jack that he will take him to Olson's Ice Cream Parlor the moment he can start solid food.
Grandpa Tim hands Jack over to Uncle Marc.
A sight I never thought I would see...my little brother actually holding my first born! (No this wasn't a one-time thing...Uncle Marc loves to hold Jack whenever he gets a chance!)

Meet the Parents
I FINALLY get to hold Jack for the first time. The only word that can describe this moment is...magic!
Dad and Jack take a quick rest in the chair before the visitors come in!

Jack's Arrival...FINALLY!!!!
"We have a son!" I will NEVER forget hearing those words come out of Tom's mouth. November 25,2006 was the scarriest and happiest day of our lives! Things got a little hairy in the delivery room, and Jack Cunningham FINALLY entered the world via c-section. He weighed in at 8 pounds and 7.5 ounces (certainly not the 11 pounder they were thinking!), and was 19 inches long. As every mom says "If I had to do it all over again I would," nothing could be more true!
Here we are in the Recovery Room...boy those drugs sure work wonders!
Dr. Kessen helps Jack wave hello to Grandpa Tom, Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Tim, Grandma Jane, and Uncle Marc, while Mom is still in the Recovery Room dying to hold him for the first time!
Jack gets all shined up for his first meeting with Mom and Dad.
Boy making an entrance and a bath sure tuckers a little guy out!
