Week Twenty

This is one of Jack's new favorite things to do...jump in his Jump-a-Roo. He will only do it if you are watching him though, I guess you could say he is kind of a show-off!

Grandpa Tom came for a quick visit this week. He fed Jack his peas after getting back from Cabela's, of course!

Such a little Love-Bug!

A relaxing Saturday morning nap with Mom.

I heard Jack making some new squealing sounds, only to walk into the living room to find him with his toy covering his face. He thought that it was a great new game of hide-and-go-seek. Can you find me?????

Our old neighbors, Nick and Amy, who we miss having right next door, invited us to a Buck's game in the company suite! Jack's first time at a sporting event was done in style, like everything is with Nick and Amy! Here is Jack hanging out with Ryan. He thinks he is pretty cool when he gets to hang out with the "big boys"!

Jack and Ryan actually decide to watch a few moments of the game.

Week Nineteen

What a big boy! It is so hard to believe that 19 weeks ago Jack only weighed 8 lbs. He has now doubled his birth weight!

Yum...sweet potatoes!

Yuck...sweet potatoes!

The Cubs were beating the Brewers so Jack and Grandpa Tim decided it was time for a quick snooze.

After Jack's snooze he headed out to go 4 wheeling with Grandpa Tom.

The Easter Bunny brought Jack some new beach gear. I'm sure he'll get all the hot beach babes this summer with this outfit!

A few weeks ago we discovered that Jack's long-lost twin was Bob the Builder. This week we discovered that he has another twin...

Enjoying Easter brunch with Grandma Jane.

Week Eighteen

This last week was a week of many firsts! Jack began the week by letting us know that he no longer needed to be swaddled when sleeping. Now Grandpa Tim can't make fun of us anymore for "tying" our son up so he sleeps!

Another first...solid food! Jack sure enjoys his rice cereal...anyone else care for a taste? My guess is that it tastes much better off of the bib.

We enjoyed the WARM spring weather and went out for a stroll.

Can you tell that he is Tom's son?

Yet another first...swinging in the "big boy swing" at the park. I have a feeling we will be spending many hours there this summer since Jack really enjoys the swing, especially when his good friend Emmie is in the swing next to him.

Jack's feet can finally touch the floor when you put him in his exersaucer. He has a great time bouncing in it.

Getting ready to do some home improvement with Dad!

I'm not sure why, but Tom and I think it is sooo funny to put Tom's glasses on Jack. No, we don't put them on him all the time, just once in awhile for a good laugh!

This is how we used to spend $30 on our Friday nights....

This is how we now spend $30 on Friday nights....going to Babies 'R' Us to pick up yet another box of diapers.

Week Seventeen

"My future's so bright I gotta wear shades!"

We took our Happy Little Leprechaun to Ryan and Jen's St. Patty's Day party! We had a great time, but one of us vowed never to have that much fun again....

Usually Jack is a very happy-go-lucky little guy, but when it comes to his bath he gets very serious. He really enjoys his bath, and takes his kicking and splashing very seriously. I can't wait to take him to swimming lessons so he is already for outdoor fun this summer!

Jack sits in his Bumbo (Bimbo according to Tom) while we eat our dinner each night. The other night Tom and I looked over to see that out little guy lost interest in our dinner conversation and had fallen asleep.

So happy!

We were attempting to get out of the house on time (which most of you know doesn't happen that often!) and Tom needed to stop and quick take a picture of Jack. In my hussle and bussle I asked him what he was doing and his response was, "he just looks so cute right now, I want to get a picture." This really made me realize that it is okay to be late (on occassion) as long as it is due to taking time to stop and enjoy the moment. Since Jack has come into our lives we now understand that the most important thing in life is to be happy as you spend time together...remember to take some time today to stop and enjoy the moment!

Week Sixteen

Jack worked very hard to woo Lindsay away from Uncle Marc. He cooed, smiled, and used all of his chick-magnet techniques to try and win Lindsay over.

We spent the majority of the week in Eau Claire visiting. Jack had a fun time hanging out with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Tom. He can't wait to play in his new playhouse that Grandpa Tom won at the Home and Garden Show.

Jack loves his bath. He especially loves the big bathtub at Grandma Jane's house. He held onto his "Jack mat" while Grandma Jane assisted with his bath. You can see his big bellybutton. Believe it or not, but his bellybutton has gotten a lot better now that his tummy muscles are getting stronger. The surgeon at Children's Hospital informed us that there is an 85% chance that it will not require surgery!

Grandpa Tim and Jack wait for Grandma Jane to come home from work. Jack had a blast in Eau Claire with each set of grandparents. We got to meet them at work, go out for lunch, shop, and go on long walks.

Jack hangs out with Uncle Marc. He feels very comfortable with Uncle Marc as they are two good looking guys with peach fuzz for hair!

Week Fifteen

They say that everybody has a twin...I guess we found Jack's in Bob the Builder!

Jack enjoys spending Sunday mornings playing with dad.

Oh my! Our son already has "plumber crack"!

All clean after a relaxing bath! Jack LOVES taking baths and would spend the whole day in his tub if we would let him!

Look at me hold my head up! It amazes Tom and I how quickly Jack is growing before our eyes! It is so hard to believe that he is already so strong. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.

Week Fourteen

Jack enjoyed making cookies, as you can see he already knows that cookies don't last long at the Hanks house. See how he is already guarding them? Nobody better touch my cookies!

We dressed up in our Buffett gear, eventhough it was so cold. Our "special" outfits helped us score tickets to the concert in July. Jack is a little bummed that he won't be going, but he sure does love listening to Jimmy's music! Fins up!!!!!!!!

Jack made a new friend this week, Hailey, the daughter of our friends Nick and Jackie. Hailey is only a few weeks older than Jack. As you can see Jack is going to have to do some growing if he doesn't want to have to look up at Hailey when he takes her to the prom. (I think my hopes for him playing in the NBA are over.....he looks more like linebacker material.)

Hailey is already showing Jack that she has the upper hand! He seems to have his dad's patience when dealing with women.

Jack's cousin Adam learned how to make blankets at school, and he made a special one for Jack. Jack LOVES his new blanket. We play on it everyday.

The lovely Wisconsin weather kept us inside for most of the week. We were ready to climb the walls after we made some "glasses" out of the links.
