Our trip to Eau Claire got started a little later than planned. On Good Friday (when we were supposed to leave Milwaukee) we spent an hour and a half shoveling the 14 inches of snow that was dumped on us....Happy spring!
Happy Easter Grandma! Did you know that the Easter Bunny brought me some rubber boots, so I can wear pink bandanas and bright colored shirts, just like you and help garden?
We weren't up for dying easter eggs, so Grandma Jane and Jack colored pictures of eggs instead.
Grandpa, I know that there are kitties on the other side of this door!
Didn't you see the paw that just popped out from underneath there?

Welcome Ben!
Wednesday, March 12th was a very exciting day. One of my best friends, Becky, welcomed her second baby into the world. While they were at the hospital Emmie, her eldest, came to hang out with us.
Emmie will be such a great big sister...just look how willing she is to help out with bath time!
Passing time with a wagon ride. Jack was very excited to have a friend along for the ride.
Welcome Baby Ben!!!!! Jack is super excited to add another boy to his circle of friends, he was really getting outnumbered by all the girls. We went to visit Ben in the hospital, and he is just perfect! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Concentration
Some would say we have a very determined young man living at our house...Tom and I say that we have a little boy who is "exercising his independence!" Jack has become very interested in doing things that big people do, sweep, mop, use the toilet, load the dishwasher, and use pens and pencils. If he is interested in completing one of these tasks, and you attempt to redirect him he will throw the world's best tantrum. Right now Tom and I just chuckle and walk away...I'm sure that reaction will change, especially the first time he throws a tantrum in public!
Check out the determination in getting the pen cap back on. Hmmmmmm....I wonder where he gets it from?
I just had to post this picture. I was laying on the kitchen floor attempting to capture the moment, when Jack looked down and realized that I was there. This photo TOTALLY captures his great toothy smile!

Fun Times at Home
Do you like my new do?
Please put down the camera and read me this for the 8th time today?
What's wrong with this picture? Jack is sitting in a regular chair, instead of his highchair. Yup, you guessed it...he has taken "climbing" to the next step, and now constantly climbs up on the kitchen chairs.
It was time to move Jack's car seat from the rear facing position to the forward facing position. The big question was...how many Master's degrees does it take to install a car seat? Maybe if we would have had one or two more helping us it wouldn't have taken over 45 minutes!
