The biggest change in our little man happened on January 10th. Jack began walking! We are so proud of him, and are actually looking forward to chasing after him. We have video of him walking, and are currently attempting to figure out how to get it posted on the blog. I have my "Tech Support Team" (aka Tom) working out all the details....stay tuned!!!!!
Our living room has officially become a toy store!
We purchased a second car seat so Tom could drop Jack off at Kari's (our sitter, who we can't say enough good things about!!) in the morning. At first Jack wasn't too sure what to think about riding in the truck, but now he enjoys the five block ride to Kari's house, with Dad! He really likes that he now gets to face forward in his seat!

A Trip to Sheboygan
A couple of weeks ago we headed up north to Sheboygan to visit our good friends Matt, Jen and Mason. We had a blast, especially watching the boys play together. The bad part of the trip was that Matt and Jen have a very nice tv and a Wii. Now we are debating on spending our tax return money on a new tv and a Wii....we'll let you know what we decide!
Here's Mason! Isn't he a cutie!?!?!
Mason will be one in March, and Jack took on the "big kid" role and attempted to teach Mason one of his favorite pastimes...eating the remote.

Man Time
Watching the football game with the guys. Matt and Sommer came down for a visit, and Jack entertained them with his eating abilities, and then made Matt jealous, that he didn't have matching p.j.'s.
Now I have two "Mr. Fix-its!"
During the past few weeks I have spent a lot of time thinking about being the only girl in the house. Now that Jack is bigger I feel a little out numbered. I just keep telling Tom, that they will have to build me my own "girl bathroom" where the toilet seat doesn't go up at all!!!!
No, the picture does not need to be rotated. Jack just needs to make sure he holds on for dear life on this wild ride!
The official enterance into manhood...when you get to wear Dad's headlamp!

Happy New Year
Happy New Year! We hope everyone's year is off to a great start! During 2008 the Hanks family is looking forward to another exciting year. Tom and I can't believe how much our little man has grown. We have had soooooo much fun, and can't wait to fall even more in love with our Jack-a-Roo!
No, the picture is not lying. Jack is in the tub with all of his clothes on, and the shower is on too!
New Year's Eve Day started with Jack covering himself in blueberries, outfit change #1.
Shortly after he was dressed for the day he spit-up/puked all over, outfit change #2.
I needed to shower for the day, so I brought Jack into the bathroom with me. He was playing with toys, and then decided to put some in the shower with me. I didn't move fast enough to give him the toy he wanted, fast enough, and he tumbled into the shower with me! Yup, you guessed it...outfit #3.
Here is outfit #4 for the day! Could the shirt be any more fitting?
Mr. Mischief at his best! This is now the background on my computer. It totally captures Jack's mischevious side!

Friends
The Hanks boys chillin' with the Jaeger boys! Tom and Chris discussed their upcoming ski trip, while Miles and Jack chatted about all their new toys.
This is Jack's new best friend...Clark. His full name is Clark the Christmas Monkey. Clark was given to Jack by Lindsay (Uncle Marc's girlfriend), and must now go EVERYWHERE with us!

Christmas with the Hanks
Grandma, are you sure Grandpa won't mistake me for the deer he has been watching in the backyard?
Mmmm...my two new favorite things...candy canes and trucks!
Please protect me from the turkey Auntie Annie! This decoy caused a lot of laughs at Jack's expense. Let's just say that he wasn't too fond of the turkey after it gobbled at him!
Cousin Ethan was very patient with Jack as he attempted to "help" him with his new game.
Too much Christmas wears a little guy out!
So handsome in blue! Did you two plan your outfits?
Family photo time!!!!!!
Much better!

Christmas with the Dresels
Well Christmas 2007 was a little different than Christmas 2006, with Jack being mobile! (Need I say more?)
Helping Dad wrap more Christmas gifts.
What is the big deal about sledding?
Woa!!!! That hill back at Grandma and Grandpa's was the bunny hill, this is the BIG hill! Now I see what the big deal is!!!! FUN!!!!!!!!
Grandpa Tim showed Jack how to appropriately uses the eyes that came with his Mega Blocks. (Thanks alot Dad, now all he wants to do is have you put the eyes up on yours. I'll be sure to send the bill when I have to go to the doctor because I had a Mega Block shoved into my eye!)
Uncle Marc demonstrates what will happen if you eat too many Christmas cookies like Santa.
So comfortable in Grandma's arms!
